There are many endeavours our founder, Emily, has explored in her life including cheffing, nutrition, butchery and gardening, all of which have added to her rich understanding of the importance of what it is you put into, and on, your body.
As Emily explored the hows, whys and whats of food production and the effects of these on our bodies, she felt that she finally grasped the answer to living a healthful life but as she shared her answers with others she realised time and time again about how good quality, sustainably grown produce, additive-free staples & healthfoods, all came with a price-tag that excluded most people. Alas was born Emily’s dream to run Local/Simple— an online grocer distributing the products she uses & loves to the Midwestern Region she calls home. Structured in a way that limits overheads to allow her to reduce the large mark-up you find on the goods she truly believes should be available to everyone.
